Mine was oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, at age 5,  followed by baking powder
bicuits at around age 6.

When I was in my teens and Mom started working again I began cooking dinner
as part of my monthly chores.  At one point,  because I had cooked so much in
one month Imy allowance was $60.
