Hummmmmm, what I experienced with mine was a bit different.........
Pinching didn't work well to halt my lot--they just kept sending up more
stalks! And when I gave in and let them set seed, they looked awful for
months, but eventually revieved and did fine the next year again. This
lasted, uhhh, maybe 4 or 5 years? after which they did give up and die. Might
have done better with more care--the weeds always won the war before the end
of summer! ;-)
