Sure. You were chopping sage, and probably parsley, on your cutting
board, and then you rolled out your foil of good paste. Suddenly you
realized you hadn't washed and dried the board! (Green noodles, etc.,
don't seem to appear in most of period, if at all. But then it's hard to
tell, since many extant instructions about coloring foods seem to be
after-the-fact throw-away lines. If ya wanted the food colored, you
could color it.)
