Take a look at this file in the FOOD section of Stefan's Florilegium:
finger-foods-msg (14K) 5/31/95 Ideas for finger foods at feasts and events.
There are a number of period finger foods given (and a recipe or two) in
this file. Items mentioned include pickled eggs, humus, candied pine nuts,
almond fricatellae, sweet curry pies, quiche-like items, Pipefarces,
Barmakiyya, Maqluba al Tirrikh, Chopped Liver (_Du Fait de Cuisine_) and
ryschewes.
