SC - A quick question (bay leaves). .

Bay leaves....  The curious lady who asked whether bay leaves are period
doesn't seem to be getting a very useful response. (That seems to be a
frequent problem with questions that are framed, "Is X period?") A better
way of getting the information might be to ask, "Does anybody know of a
medieval recipe that uses bay leaves as flavoring?" -- which, by the way,
I would love to know the answer to....
