"Interesting" side point ( note take with as much salt as needed for a
document the is said to be a translation of a translation and with one of
the sections has been left out with a note to dear friendly reader as to
why)
The Elixiers of Nostradamus has a few medicines for consumption and
cosemetics that contains precious metals and gemstones. The document is
aimed at the nobility.

A compostion for maintaining the health of the human body contains coral
dissolved pearls, 150 gold leaves lapis lazuli, the residue of five major
gems amongst more ordinary ingredients. It appears to be something of a
cure-all. The dosage is a drachm each morning with white wine.

Also I recall one of the stories in a childrens thousand and one-night
referred to a dish that consisted of a cucumber stuffed with pearls.
