Dr. Seuss’s Sippet

Can you sop it with your sippet?
Slurp that sippet-sopping brew
But be sure not to slop it
And certain not to drip it
On the surcoat of the sworded Sir 
That sits beside of you.

Oh, that silly sloppy sippet!
What’s a feaster s’posed to do?
My soggy sippet sunk
And melted into gunk
And seems to have become some form
Of Slimy Sippet glue.

Why, I’ll spear the errant sippet!
With spoon and knife I’ll rip it
>From the bottom of the plate--
Oh no!  I’m much too late!

And Alas! It’s sippets too!
