To rid flour of weevils, sift into a new container. :-)
There are no know human deseases that can be traced to weevils in flour. The
FDA allows up to the euivolent of 1 rat feces and a certain amount of insect
parts in flour and still let it bear the grade A label.
Sifting would solve the weevil problem and still provide a nourishing product.
Personally, I would throw the infested flour out also but sifting weevils from
flour was a common occurence thrioughout history until the later half of this
century.
(useless information unless you find yourself starving with nothing but weevil
infested flour to eat.)
