I asked my friend about that and she said that people in her parish (or whatever the
counties are called there) were either fiercely Christian or a staunch African American
denomination she can't remember the name of.  Either way, NO ONE ever questioned what you
wanted to name (or otherwise do with) your children down there (10 years ago when she was
there anyway).
