BOARS WAR OCT 9-12 TUCSON,AZ

Ah, the Arts of War! The strategies, the sorties, the besiegers and the
besieged. Oh, the war engines, and the quarrels and bolts of conflict.
All of these and more await you at Boar's War, held in the Barony of Tir
Ysgithr (Tucson Az) at the Pima County Fairgrounds, October 9th through
October 12th, 1998.

Boar's War is a theme war, and -- you guessed it -- siege is this year's
theme. All of the scenarios will center on and around a motte and
bailey. This allows the fighting to be fast and furious with only short
breaks between scenarios. It also gets the participants off the field
and to the showers before the hottest part of the afternoon.

The war will be held on Columbus Day weekend. The site opens at 8AM on
Friday, Oct. 9th and closes at 5PM on Monday, Oct. 12th.

DIRECTIONS:
=A0=A0=A0 =A0 To reach the site, exit Interstate 10 onto Houghton Road
(exit 275) and drive south. Turn right (west) onto Brekke Road. Continue
west on Brekke Road until you reach the Pima County Fairgrounds
entrance. Turn left into the Fairgrounds and follow the signs to the
site.

arena will be provided. Stables/horse stalls will be available for rent
for $7 per day,and bedding is for sale at $5.50 a bag. No portable

=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 =A0 Ice can be purchased for $4 a 40 pound bag at the
Tavern.
=A0 =A0=A0 Pets are welcome, but please keep your pets on a leash or

rule is in violation of the mundane law and will be asked to leave the
site.
=A0=A0=A0=A0 =A0 BUT.....NEVER FEAR....
PACKAGE BEER WILL BE AVAILABLE
FOR PURCHASE AT THE TAVERN!!!

the populace, by the Fairgrounds in 12-pack quantities and the price has
