SC - Food Handlers License

Aldyth,

>>The final fly in the ointment is that the Community College where our
Kingdom A&S will be held has asked me to get a food handling permit,
which the State says they do not have.....<<

If you tell this to the college, and they are adamant, see if they would
accept a Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate. No, it doesn't have
anything to do with food, but it's available, and shows some good faith
on your part in trying to be safety conscious. Costs about $32., takes
one day or 2 four hr. sessions.

Sometimes, people just want some sort of CYA acknowledgement and
co-operation. Aside from that, ask restaurants what they do.

Regards,

Allison
