Williamsburg has a wonderful village and demos where they make candles and
weave, etc. In addition, there are plantaion houses from Williamsburg up
through most of the state that offer tours. I would reccommend Williamsburg
area if you are close enough (for 6 hours most of VA is close enough). In
additon, that is a good time of year to go as most of the area is not air
conditioned to keep the atmosphere alive.
