I don't recall seeing that recipe, but pork in cider is a very German thing
and I know I have a recipe for pork chops in cider. I've also got some pork
tenderloins hiding in the freezer, so it sounds like a thing to try in this
slow week between Christmas and New Year's.
I'm thinking about making a ham and black-eyed pea cassoulet with a loaf of
rosemary bread for sopping the liquid as a New Year's meal
