SC - Candied Spices???

There is an interesting recipe in Copeland Marc's Sephardic Cooking for
Halwa Chosk (Toasted and Crumbled sweet).  It is made of flour, oil, grounf
turmeric, ground cardamom, sugar, water, ground coriander and rosewater.
Halwa of a sort is noted on His Grace, Duke Cariadoc's Miscellany.  The
reference there is from Ibn al Mabrad.  I have never tried this, but I am
planning to for Elfsea A&S in January.
