Actually, no. Spring festivals are specifically geared toward fertility. While
Winter festivals are geared toward the death (i.e shorter days) and the
rebirth (longer days) of the Sun.

Which is why we have lights and candles and bright objects all about at X-mas
while reserving eggs, bunnies, chicks and lambs at Easter.  

And so the Circle turns unbroken.
