SC - Honey recipe/syrup of roses

I make rose syrup as every year I can get over to my friend's huge, unsprayed
rose garden.

It is pretty simple.  The period recipes and my redaction can be found in
Stefan's Florilegium in the article "Divers Pretty Things Made of Roses &
Sugar."
