The dough for the stained glass window, is a period "wafer"
recipe, which is, if made more than paper thin, extraordinarily
hard.  I was chatting to my sister about wanting to make a
stained glass (toffee) and biscuit window.  This window was
the precursor to the one served at the Good Food Feast.
She suggested that I contact Hoskuld Atlasson,  who had
made honey wafers that failed because they were so very
hard.   That recipe was what I, then Aelfrythe, used.  I will
see if I can re-find the recipe for you.  It is basically honey,
butter and flour.

The snow-trees were from "to the Queen's Taste".

A good subtelty for a red rose ball, might be oval biscuits
with a red 'icing' stuck together with more icing to make
gigantic flowers...
