Actually bait fish would be more a more accurate term. Both the Galloping
Gourmet (early version) and Jeff Smith have presented modern recipes using
bait fish. And there are recipes, IIRC, in French, Italian, Spanish and
Portuguese modern works that use bait fish. Unfortunately, I do not have the
info at my fingertips. :-)
