Hedgehog (e.g or at least their American counterpart the groundhog)  is quite
tasty actually. :-) BTW, if I hadn't mentioned it before, hedgehogs when
rolled into a ball are about the size of an orange. Thought that might be a
useful reference for those recreating the illusion food called "hedgehogs".
Since they are currently trendy in the pet business, you might be able to get
a look at one by visiting your local pet shop.

Uh, folks, the hedgehog is not a goundhog. It is similar to the American
porcupine not a groundhog. I find it hard to think of something covered
in spines as “cuddly”.

Also, I found out when doing some heraldry research that this is where
the name Harris comes from. Haere’s, which I think was the old name for
hedgehog.
