SHORTBREAD.  Bear has a terrific period redaction that is all worked out
and everything.  With the slight modification of rolling the dough, you
can get 45 shortbread/ batch...

The queen of the Middle kingdom loved them (I sent her home with a stack.
An apple walnut tart too as I recall...)
