SC - Burned fingers

I'm always touching hot things when I cook, but I rarely get burned because
I learned how to touch hot things when I work on the forge. Suggest you get
those hot-pad mitts, and use them religiously, unless you're willing to
develop the hard skin on the palms of your hands like I have. No it isn't
callous, it's just I do a lot of things like leatherwork and have toughened
palms as a result.
