Puck, dear, 
Here is a recipe that's been handed down in my family for generations for
Musgoe soup.  First you must catch and clean some musgoes.  Look in the fridge
and pull out anything that has been in there so long it "must go" (unless it
has started growing hair.)  take your good stock, add the musgoes, and some
onions and tomatoes or tomato soup, cook for a couple of hours, then add some
cooked pasta (macaroni, spaghetti, fetucini, whatever)  Add salt and pepper to
taste, and serve with a good hot bread and cheese ........ and don't forget
the hot sauce
