I suppose technically it is but it is a completely different variety of chicken
from say White Leghorns and Rhode Island Reds or, for that matter, Bantams.
Each having it's own distinctive taste and , at least to my palette, not to be
compared to each other.

Interesting. I never thought of chicken as anything but chicken, However I’ve
never classed game hens as just chicken.

So, how do these varieties of chicken differ in taste? I assume that I
would recognise differences in at least feather colors if I was to see
them alive versas in plastic wrap in the grocery.

What kind of chicken am I likely seeing in the grocery? I don’t remember
any labels indicating the type of chicken.

I imagine none of these are anything approaching medieval chickens in
either taste, texture or looks.

Hmm. Do Cornish Game Hens have anything to do with Cornwall? or is this
just another American phrase like French fries or Swiss steak?
