Effectivly all you can do is throw out the cobbler and wash the dutch
oven. You might be able to use the pancakes for cup coasters. :)
As for why the bad reaction, I still don't know. Aoife thought that the
mix was old or that the spice was not intended for use in a leavened
product.

BTW, the solid mass that was to be the cake in the cobbler could keep a
freight truck from rolling down a steep hill.
