We had a discussion about tartaric acid a few weeks ago.  What is it and
what does it do?  I am curious since I found it in an ingredient listing
of candy a friend of mine was eating.  I thought that we had established
that is was basically the same substance as cream of tartar.  Was I
mistaken?
