Hi everyone!
I hope everyone had wonderful holidays and got lotsa loot.Tell us cool stuff
you got. Of interest to this list that I recieved were:
Hering's Dictionary of Classical & Modern Cookery
(Very expensive and the more I read it the cooler it gets)
TWO coffee grinders (I gave real broad hints that I wanted two. One for
                     coffee and one for spices.)
A food processor.
(Since I am cooking for 400 this weekend they felt it was needed.)
I have discovered that almond milk is a breeze when you are able to grind
the nuts in a coffee grinder.

Next posting is my 12th Night feast.

Yers,

Gunthar

Well, as a 12th night present from MY BOSS (she's really, really
cool---married to the artist who does the Star Wars comic strips) I got: A
Plum Pudding, extra brandy. A nifty circular wheel that adjusts proportions
when sizing a recipe up or down (will gauge amounts of ingredients for up to
500 servings!!!). A Nifty book called Christmas Feasts by Sass which was
published by the NY Met. Museum of Art---it included a feast for a Roman
Saturnalia Feast (listening, Master A?) with sources quoted.

All in all, I love this gift almost as much as my scum-buster (cleans those
pots and the kitchen in a flash) and hot-water bottle (a lovely invention I
intend to take camping with me in spring and fall---I suffer from terminally
frigid tootsies when camping).

Hope everyone else had a good holiday.

Aoife
