RE>SC - (P?) Fish dishes and gold-leafing 1/20/98
<snip>whole gilded fish in the center surrounded by ungilded pieces, giving
people something of a choice. I won't need to make much; it'll be the third
remove and most folk in my barony proclaim they don't like fish a-tall.
<snip>
SALMON! SALMON! brid bangs on kitchen counter with spoon,then looks sheepish.
Do a fishy and do it well, and if they don't like it then it will come back to
the kitchen to us!
I have no idea about periodocity (that's not a word :(). But who was it with
the fish idea that got covered in a pastry shell? What if you made a
non-edible (or edible) pastry fish shaped cover that could get lifted off or
cracked open- then people wouldn't be nervous about the gold-leaf, bake it
seperate, cook the fishy however you please, and set the sotlety over it
before presentation.

(trying to behave, but overwhelmed with the desire to do impressions of Cat
from the Red Dwarf series- "Fish! I want fish!)
