We did something similar. When the count reached 500, I got 15 lbs of pasta
and
threw it into the broth left from the Citrus Chicken. I came out very tasty.

Unfortunately this was the one dish that I didn’t like. Orange flavored
pasta. bleach. :-< I wonder if I would have liked the sauce better over rice?
Probably just personal taste.

The lack of servers is what really hurt this feast in the main case. I guess
I
should have called for people from the tables to come forward but I'd hoped
to
avoid that. I had no lack of help in the kitchen, thankfully.

Our server did a good job. I don’t think she skipped anybody or any
item. It just took her a while to serve everyone around an 18 person or
so table. Usually by the time she had made it around, the side she
started with had finished their item and she would ask if anyone wanted
seconds. After a couple of rounds we got her to alternate the sides she
started on to even this out.

I really didn't bother with where the people were sitting. That was up to
the
Event Stewards to worry about. They did run out of tables, I'm told.

There were announcements made in late afternoon asking for folks with
empty chairs at their tables to let them know, so that they could find
room for the folks still coming in. Someone also came around and went
from table to table asking this question.

The hall was big, but rather mundane, so room was not a problem unlike
some other Ansteorran 12th Nights I have attended.

I would love to do a nice intimate dinner for 200 with a real
kitchen.

When and where Gunthar? When can I send in my reservation? :-)

How about doing one of those fancy-food above-the-board feasts that
have been discussed here? Do that down here, and I might even be willing
to autocrat/event steward an event again.
