In order to keep this from turning into a "moi aussi" post, I'd like to tender a suggestion, if I may:

What about a FAQ?

Like the FAQ for sca-distilling, it could state 1) what posts are allowable, 2) what posts are not, and 3) answer questions that do not need to be discussed again (i.e., potatoes and chocolate, etc.) The FAQ would be sent to new subs, and could also go in a bulk-send to current subs.

I would be happy to volunteer to write the dern thing myself; but (as my hubby informs me) I am rather overvolunteered at the moment and in sore need of cutting back on a lot of things. Like Aoife and Adamantius, I don't want sca-cooks to be one of the things I cut down on...

p.s. Yes I know I have contributed to this problem myself, and am willing to take my share of the responsibility. And yes, I know of two--no, three cooks in my barony who have said, "Whew! Too much traffic!" and quickly unsubbed. In other words... "me too." <ducking>
