How about alioli? I have three cookbooks that place that "sauce"
possibly in period. (I hate the word possibly). Oil, lemon juice, eggs,
garlic. Any comments? Rhys and I were stationed on the island of
Menorca. The city of Mahon claims to be the origination of mahonesa, and
place it in the 1300's. Could be more useless trivia. Same basic recipe
as the alioli, and mayo.
