Certainly not unreasonable at all!!! This sort of structure makes perfect sense, though I doubt we'll ever see it out here. For some reason, BYO is a carved-in-stone Westie tradition... so much so that every year I see more and more "feasts" morphing into potlucks and partial potlucks. :-(

I think that, though it would be monumentally difficult to organize, the Westie 12th-night would be much less of a cluster-intercourse if it were run as a feast instead of a multiple potluck... not that it didn't go smoothly (as possible) this year, but I really resented the fact that we couldn't use half the chairs at our table (by the wall) because all the people at the tables in the middle of the room stacked their boxes, baskets, hampers, coolers and crock pots all around the perimeter of the room, including all around our table...

Oh well. Dream on. ;-)

Actually, we are doing a camping event next month (combined with our seneschal's wedding) that has an across-the-board fee for dinner Saturday night and brunch on Sunday. Looking forward to that... I'll report back on how us Westies handled this Oriental concept... <g>
