Please good gentles of this list. I would offer the following food for
thought before we fall "off the wagon". We all resent any rule or law
that we feel infringes on our fun. Those rules and laws are there for
many reasons, and we have to deal with them if we want to have fun. The
alcohol clause was placed because we do not have a particular host
alcohol liquor liability available from the insurance company. Our
"club" felt it was better to have some insurance for the other activities
we engage in, than to have none at all. I am truly sorry that any
Kingdom had to see fit to change their Kingdom law and Financial policy
because of an abuse. If it had happened in my Kingdom, I would have
asked for the same action. In addition, I would have suspended the group
officers responsible. That single action jeopardized the Society. My
major character flaw is that I am too lawful for my own good. Please,
please, please, before you decide to do something rash, consider the
impact on the rest of us who want to continue doing what we are doing.
