Well, I'll go on the record as saying the egg definitely came before the
chicken, having been laid by a proto-chicken, living exactly at the
point on the evolutionary ladder at which taxonomists would draw the
line between chickens and non-chickens, on the non-chicken side of the
line, of course...; )
