Of course not. For periods when I do want bread I generally bake once a
week, but then make a bigger batch (a total of four hours commuting each
day is not conductive to mid-week baking). Also note that the baking
customs in parts of the world was set up for seasonal baking. Make a
"ton" of crisp bread a few times a year...

I think the horror comes about when everyone is trying to pass off
pieces of Herman to each other, and serve it in every dish.

And I who thought you were talking about food... the only wonder
about is that people actually _eat_ it, strange as it may seem. ;-)
