Well, what about putting mommy rabbit in a brine or preserving her in fat
for after Lent?  Doesn't say you can't touch her, just can't eat her, for
your sins and repentence.  As a Presbyterian, I'm not eating fetal
rabbits--or anything else till you get back to the egg--but I'd be
interested in knowing if preserved or pickled rabbits, or anything but
pork and beef, and some fat-preserved pigeons, turned up in the corpus.
