I know that when my sister is having asthma attacks her doctors have told her
that she can't drink milk because it will create even more mucus, making the
attack worse. When I am dealing with a cold or sinus infection I drink less
milk because it tends to gum me up. My doctor told me that it is a reaction
that milk causes and is also why drinking milk after eating something spicy
makes the burning stop.

Neither my sister or I is lactose intolerant, milk just seems to make our
upper respitory problems worse.
