     Okay, Micaylah... <demonic gourmoo grin>

Ever try mascarpone? It's Italian triple-creme cream cheese. That
means that it's about 60 to 80% butterfat - which means that it
contains more butterfat than heavy cream... or butter, for that
matter. You can find it in America in Italian delis and some of the
     bigger supermarket chains.

I first had it eight years ago when I visited Germany. It looks like a
tub of spackle when you buy it... but when you take it home, take a
hand blender to it and mix it with a little cream, confectioner's
sugar, and vanilla extract, you create this beautiful substance which
     innocently resembles whipped cream.

Take fresh summer peaches or strawberries, clean them and cut them up,
dip them into the mascarpone, and pop the fruit into the mouth of an
unsuspecting person. I've had people pretty much faint on the spot!
     <heh heh>

It's an almost indescribable taste: sweet, rich, creamy, yet slightly
tangy and sour. People generally freak out and beg "What IS that?"
because they know that it isn't normal whipped cream.

I've been trying to determine whether mascarpone dates back to our
period of study... Will keep you informed.

     Just being evil ;)
