SC - Apple Butter Update

[LYN M PARKINSON]

My Great Aunt Kathryn's apple butter was quite dark brown, but her apple
sauce and her pear butter were both pale as champagne.  Except for
consistency and cinnamon, I'm still not quite clear as to the difference
between the butter and the sauce.
