Not if it was a real emergency, but in this case the person who cried the news
out in the hall didn't take the time to find out what was really going on
before the announcement was made.  I think in all the damage was a few shade
pavillions got knocked down, and a few tents that weren't put up very well had
some problems.  Several people did return to the feast and passed the word
that things weren't that bad, so the exodus slowed down.
