God forbid, it ever happens again, Margarite, but don't pull off the garment
that someone is wearing.  Flesh can come with it, increasing the severity of
the injury and allowing even greater exposure to infection.  Flood the area
with cold water-not ice, just cold water-and keep it wet.  Let the
professionals remove any cloth at the hospital.

I agree but the tunic was rather loose and there was a t-shirt underneath
and the poor sod wearing it wanted to be able to water down the t-shirt
which the doctor cut off a couple of minuets later. Fortunately for us Doc
was in the next room and came immediately.
