SC - Squash flowers as period food

[LYN M PARKINSON]

I wonder whether all cucurbita blossoms are edible, and, if so, whether
they need to be cooked.  If they are edible and don't need to be cooked,
then the tiny, white blossoms would be pretty in a salad, as other flower
petals were used in period.
