Yes, that could have been it.  I also don't remember if I got cooking
apples or Red Delicious, it has been a long time.  I also know better now
than to do a recipie cold for an event or a competiton.  Besides,
everyone enjoys helping me 'taste test' new things.  (My household is
SOOO self-sacrificing!)
