Anything is possible old friend. . . After if we placed enough monkeys in
a room with a typwriter. . . heh heh heh!
But really, With the foods and spices and a general knowledge of what was
done we should have room to see if we can come up with things that very
similar yet come out different. I have recipies that I use that do not
come out the way other folk use them. So we should give the benifit of the
doubt and some room for experiment with known foods/spices. Not everything
that was cooked was written down.
In ancient Egypt over 1800 types and qualities of bread stuffs were taxed
and labeled with names. We only have reciepies for a handful and lots of
spare names. We must try and see if we can reconstruct them. Otherwise we
may lose out altogether. . . and to not generate new taste sensations that
may have been available during the "Medieval Times" . . .sad.
