Or at least there is no surviving evidence of such a recipe or one similar to
it?  When I document for A&S and use something not in the original I just show
how it was 'possibly' done that way.  I have never had anyone count me down for
it, but have received much helpful reference material that way from judges who
were more knowledgable.
