Kat (and anyone else who cares),
I have a bunch of roses blooming on my balcony. They were spreayed with
Pyrethrum last summer (now 10 months ago) but that's as far as pesticide
goes around here.
If a few of them could satisfy your needs, and if the customs regulations
permit it, and if the cost is not prohibitive, CAlifornia is only about a
12 hour flight from Melbourne...
(But that's a lot of ifs.)
Another possibility is that I trot down the road tov the flower market.
Australia has a pretty large industry devoted to sending fresh flowers,
with the primary target market being Asia. (In the current economic
situation they are probably loking for somewhere else to go...)
I don't know how many of them are organic producers (I'd bet onlya small
proportion if at all) but they are used to delivering fresh flowers to
places as far away as you are.
And could you please send me the recipe so I can have a go anyway -
another possibility would be to make the thing and send it as food, which
I believe is easier for customs, although I probably don't have the time
to do it this week you never know.
Cheers
Charles Ragnar - if any of this sounds worth pursuing, write to me asap...
