Yesterday, Betty and I stopped by an Iranian grocery store to see what they
had. There were about three different brands of "sour grape juice," at a
price of about $3.50/quart. I've seen a description of the making of juice
from unripe grapes (picked early in the process of thinning the grapes) in
a modern book on Iranian cooking, so think it likely that this is the same
thing called verjuice in medieval cookbooks.
