Hi all from Anne-Marie

It is my considered opinion that "sweet water" is like "sweet butter", ie
fresh and not salty or briney. When you obtain all of your water out of
natural sources, as opposed to pipes and city run water treatment
facilitiies, this is a major concern.

Chiquart espeicaially emphasises the need for clean clear water, it would
not suprise me if other period sources emphasised this as well, with the
adjectives of their choice.

can't remember if it was in a period recipe or not but I think it was.
