SC - Definition needed: primary, secondary, tertiary sources ??

Since we have (temporarily) exhausted the Chinese topic, I am wondering if
anyone has any information on period Greek cooking. 
It is not an interest of mine (although I cook a great deal of modern Greek
food), but a friend is keen to explore the area and would like help. She is
specifically after any period sources for Avgolemono - that great lemon and
egg soup - but any info would be appreciated.
