scrofula - a lymphmatic form of tuberculosis, derived from the Latin scrofa
(sow)
scrofulous - (1) morally degenerate, (2) having the appearance of scrofula

The derivation of suss is unknown, but may be derived from suspect. It's
fairly modern slang. Your derivation is more fun.
