I'm sorry, I didn't put that in, did it (blush).  I used one hazlenut
for each prune.  I don't know how much that is.  For 3 pounds of
prunes, I  bought about 2 pounds of hazlenuts in the shell, and I
still have some left at home.

 Stuffed Prunes
  
  1 lb dried prunes
  mead
  1/2 t ground pepper
  shelled hazlenuts
  1/2 lb sliced bacon
  
  Put the prunes in a saucepan, cover with mead and add pepper.  Stew
  until soft, but not falling apart.  Cool prunes, then stuff a
  hazlenut into each one. 

Is that better?  (sorry)
